Integrity, Fairness, Impartiality
Greg is a mediation professional and the founder of Garner Mediation Services (GMS). He focuses on addressing civil court matters, including landlord/tenant issues, employee relations, neighborhood conflicts, property damages, and contract disputes. His approach is to find mutually beneficial resolutions that are fair to all parties involved.
Greg earned his juris doctor law degree from The University of Chicago Law School as well as his bachelor’s degree from Cornell University. He is a committed professional providing dispute and conflict resolution services for clients throughout Colorado.
I formed Garner Mediation Services, LLC in 2018 with the credo "The aim of argument should not be victory, but progress," borrowed from British philosopher Karl Popper. This belief served me well in 30 years as a business transactions attorney. My areas of particular experience extend from 12 years as General Counsel and Personnel Director for an IT Company, 7 years as General Counsel for a Family Trust and Real Estate Company, and 5 years as a Contracts Specialist for the State of Colorado.
Since retiring from the practice of law, I have conducted hundreds of hours of mediation as a volunteer for Jefferson County Mediation Services (now suceeded by "Oval Options"), the Denver Bar Association’s Court Mediation Services (“CMS”), and Metro Volunteer Lawyers (“MVL”). In 2019, I was deeply honored by JCMS naming me Mediator of the Year along with Amber Hill of Hilltop Mediation (whom I highly recommend, as well as me).
I am a Professional Member of the Mediation Association of Colorado (the "MAC"), and a member of Mediators Beyond Borders International ("MBBI"), an organization dedicated to promoting peaceful conflict resolution worldwide. I was excited to be recently featured in this member spotlight article through MBBI.
